BRONZE ages 6-12

Bronze is the introduction to competitive swimming for the BASS club team. The purpose of Bronze is to make sure that kids can do all strokes, starts, and turns needed for competition. Although meets are not required for this level, the intention is to move to Silver where meets are expected. Bronze is NOT the next level of swim lessons. This session there will be try outs for ALL BRONZE SWIMMERS. Even kids who have been in bronze before will need to try out. This ensures that everyone is at the correct level for their ability. What level a kid is in is at the discretion of the coaches. Kids may be required to do further lessons prior to Bronze - at the discretion of the coaches for safety reasons.

Requirements - Swimmers must be able to

1 Swim a full length of the pool without stopping for all strokes (butterfly, backstroke, breast stroke, freestyle)

2 Kick on their back and their front with their hands above their head in streamline position.
